The Book Blogger Test

First of all, thank you to Eileen from BookCatPin for tagging me:)

1. What are your top three book pet hates?
  • When people dog ear pages. *shudders*
  • When people bend the books so far that the spine cracks. (This is why I stopped lending out my books)
  • Cover changes in the middle/at the end of a series.

2. Describe your perfect reading spot.

I put this photo up on Twitter a couple of days ago; this would be a perfect reading place

3. Tell us three book confessions.
  • I don't like reading ebooks.
  • I often favor a book that has a pretty cover.
  • I prefer hardcovers to paperbacks, simply because they're easier to keep in good condition and they look super pretty on my shelf. (I'm a little OCD about my book shelves)
4. When was the last time you cried during a book?
I tear up sometimes but the last time I full on cried at a book was If I Stay. Read my review here and you'll find out why!

5. How many books are on your bedside table?
Well, my bedside table also doubles as a small bookshelf so... there are 24 books on my bedside table!

6. What is your favourite snack to eat while you are reading?
I tend not to eat when I'm reading. Partly because I can't hold a book and eat at the same time, partly because I don't want to ruin the book. The only thing I eat whilst reading is lollipops or hard sweets... reeeeal healthy, Amber.

7. Name 3 books you would recommend to anyone.

  • Anna and the French kiss by Stephanie Perkins
  • If I Stay by Gayle Forman
  • Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
8. Show us a picture of your favourite shelf on your bookcase.
My shelves (apart from the two mini ones beside my bed) are waiting to be built... by that I mean they've been sat in their cardboard box for about 2 weeks and I have yet to start building them. I have a feeling once I do them and load all of my books onto it it'll just collapse D: For now, there are no shelves. Unless someone would like to come and build them for me? No? Okay.

9. Write how much books mean to you in three words.
Nothing without them.

10. What is your biggest reading secret?
Sometimes, towards the end of a book, I'll find myself skimming the words instead of reading them all properly. I then force myself to go back, focus and read properly. (Oops)

That was fuuuun! I love doing these kinds of posts :D

Do I get to pick someone to tag now? YAY! I tag the lovely Nicole at booksandstarlight
